About this product

Order custom polystyrene signs online from The Sign Pad in Victoria, BC. Polystyrene is a smooth, lightweight plastic with a bright white printing surface, available in two thicknesses for indoor displays and short-term outdoor use across Victoria, Langford, and the Westshore.

Available thicknesses:

0.030": our standard, ideal for indoor displays where weight and roll-up portability matter
0.060": used when extra rigidity or durability is needed

Polystyrene is waterproof but flexible, making it best suited for indoor use. Short-term outdoor use of 6 months to a year is fine in protected locations, but it isn't a long-term outdoor sign material. For permanent outdoor signs, see our alupanel signs or coroplast signs.

Printed Sides

Choose between single sided or double sided signs. If you choose double sided, your PDF must contain 2 pages - page 1 is the front and page 2 is the back. If your sign is the same on both sides, you still need to provide a 2-page PDF with the same artwork on each page.

Thickness

Choose the thickness of polystyrene sign you require:

.030” (Economy) - Thin, lightweight substrate. Best for indoor use, short-term campaigns, and applications where the sign will be mounted to a flat surface.

.060” (Standard) - Twice as thick as the economy stock and noticeably more rigid. Recommended for free-standing or hanging signs, and for any application where the sign needs to hold its shape on its own.

Holes

Drill holes are 1/4” in Diameter. We offer 2 standard placement options for Drill Holes: No Holes, Top corners and all 4 corners. In all options you’ll receive final confirmation proofs that show you the exact placement of where these 1/4” drill holes will go so you can ensure they won’t impact or be placed over critical text.

No Holes - No Holes are placed, this is the standard / default option.

Top Corners - Holes will be drilled in top left and right corners.

All 4 Corners - Holes will be drilled in all for corners.

Corners or Custom Shape

Square Corners - Standard square corners on your sign.

Rounded Corners - We will round the corners of your sign with a 1" radius.

Custom Shape - We will contour-cut your sign to the shape of your artwork. Your artwork must have a solid border/outline that defines the cut path. If you choose this option, please make sure your artwork has a clear cut line.

Mounting

By default all signs do not come with mounting tape or any hanging hardware. If you would like mounting tape added to the back of your sign, please choose from the following options:

No Mounting Tape - No tape added.

D/S Foam Tape - Double-sided foam tape strips added to the back. Suitable for interior mounting on smooth surfaces. Foam tape is approximately 1/16" thick and provides a slight standoff from the wall.

D/S VHB Tape - 3M VHB (Very High Bond) double-sided tape strips added to the back. Suitable for exterior or interior mounting on smooth surfaces. VHB tape is extremely strong and weather-resistant.

Artwork Optional - add now or later

Artwork Requirements:

This product does not require bleed when submitting artwork.

Artwork must be submitted as a PDF file at the exact finished size of your sign. For example, if your sign is 24" x 18", your PDF page size should be exactly 24" x 18".

If you are ordering double sided signs, your PDF must contain 2 pages - page 1 is the front and page 2 is the back. If the front and back are the same, you still need to provide a 2-page PDF with the same artwork on each page.

If you require different artwork on multiple signs in one order, submit a multi-page PDF matching the quantity ordered.

Ensure all fonts are outlined/embedded and images are at least 150 DPI at final size.
